Summer is in full swing and so is road construction here in western Wisconsin.
If you are coming to our bed and breakfast from the north there is a very important road closure and detour. County Road F (Carmichael) out of Hudson is closed just north of the Kinnickinnic River. If you are coming from the east, it is best to take exit 10 (Highway 65) which will take you through River Falls and continue to follow as it turns into Highway 29 into Prescott.
The other option if you are in for a more scenic drive, would be to cross over into Minnesota and head south on Hwy 95 (St Croix Trail), exit 258. This will take you through Afton MN and end up at a “T” at which you will turn left and go back across the St Croix River into Prescott. If your have any questions just give us a call.
The road closure is expected to last into November 2012 so in the Fall option two is very beautiful!
